Bringing you up to date...

Last summer, Chris spent a month commuting from Clinton to S. Freeport to work as a tour captain and found the commute at the end of the day to be just too long. During last winter, we looked haphazardly at places nearer to the coast to see if we could find something affordable that would enable the commute to be shorter. In January, we found an old Cape in Friendship and the journey began in earnest. We closed in May and the work was on.
One of the first things was to remove the foundation plantings from the entries and we used pickup trucks to yank them out. It was a very freeing experience for all of us! In June the azalea and rhododendron bloomed and we thought it was a beautiful thank you from the old house.

We made a floor plan so that we could see what was what. The house was so full of the previous owners' things that it was hard to know what we were working with. This helped us get a picture. Then we started the cleaning up and out.
